The Baby Snow Fairy Fund is a Charity in its infancy.
It has been founded in the memory of our little girl, Neve Faye; whose name means ‘Snow Fairy’. She was born in April 2010 as the third of natural triplets weighing 2lbs 7oz. She battled infections for nearly three months but tragically never made it home.
During her stay in intensive care Neve required life support whilst fighting her infections. Her ventilator was donated in 1991; which, to us, seemed to be a very old piece of equipment. This inspired us to create our first goal - to provide St. Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey with a new ventilator at a cost of around £21,000. Beyond this, we want to support the nine Neonatal units in the Surrey and Sussex Neonatal network, including Frimley Park, East Surrey and the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
We have been moved by other families with similarly sad stories. Their babies are the reason that we wish to support the above named units. To us it seems abundantly apparent that help is needed across this neonatal network. There is an ongoing need to provide additional and replacement equipment to these units and they rely on charitable funds but, as we were made aware, these so far aren’t enough. Please help us to change that.
Jo Schulte-Moor and Emma Matthews cycled from Zagreb to Zadar to raise money and awareness for the Fund.
They tackled mountain after mountain in the 30 degree heat for three long days. Their efforts were well worth the challenge as together they raised well-over:

We are pleased to announce that we have already raised our target of £5000 for this year!.
This amount is a target set by The Small Charities Commission to allow an organisation to gain 'Charity' status. We will have to raise £5000 per year for two years before we can apply for a charity number and become fully recognised. Until then, we are running under the rules of The Commission, we have a registered tax number and are recognised as a charity 'for tax purposes'.
